Google for Startups has announced the 2025 cohort of its Growth Academy: AI for Health program, bringing together 25 high-impact startups from across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. These companies are using artificial intelligence to tackle some of healthcare’s most pressing challenges—from mental health and cancer treatment to maternal care and medical research.

What Is Google for Startups and Why It Matters

Google for Startups is a global initiative designed to support entrepreneurs through training, mentorship, and access to Google’s tools and network. With startup campuses previously established in cities like Warsaw, London, São Paulo, and Tel Aviv, Google for Startups has helped cultivate thriving innovation ecosystems in emerging tech hubs around the world.

In Poland, for example, the Google for Startups Campus in Warsaw has become a key node in the region’s startup infrastructure. By offering workspace, accelerator programs, and access to global mentors, the Campus has helped hundreds of Polish and regional entrepreneurs scale internationally. Companies like Booksy, Infermedica, and Tidio have all grown with Google’s support, illustrating the transformative role such programs can play in the local tech economy.

What the AI for Health Program Offers

The Growth Academy: AI for Health program is a three-month, equity-free initiative. Startups receive tailored mentorship from Google experts, workshops on responsible AI development, product and user experience design, and strategies for customer acquisition. The program also includes long-term technical support, giving startups a roadmap beyond the accelerator.

The initiative comes at a critical time. The healthcare sector is under pressure to deliver faster, more accessible, and more cost-effective care. AI is emerging as a powerful tool to meet this demand—but ethical concerns, complexity, and regulatory hurdles remain. The Growth Academy ensures startups address these challenges responsibly and with a global perspective.
