Imaguru Launches Global AI Hackathon for Freedom and Truth

Imaguru Announces “AI for a Free Future” — A 48-Hour Hybrid Hackathon to Defend Innovation, Democracy, and Entrepreneurial Rights

In a world where technology, freedom, and truth increasingly collide, Imaguru is launching a bold new initiative: AI for a Free Future, a 48-hour hybrid hackathon taking place from June 27–29, 2025. Participants can join onsite in Warsaw, Madrid, or virtually from anywhere in the world.

This hackathon is not just about building with AI — it’s about defending democracy through it. Organized as part of Imaguru’s global campaign “Declare Entrepreneurship as a Human Right,” the event calls on developers, startups, designers, and visionary thinkers to use AI to build solutions that protect freedom, truth, and digital dignity.

Participants can compete across six critical tracks:

  • Cybersecurity

  • Digital Identity

  • Education

  • Future of Work

  • Information

  • Ethics & Truth

This is a call to arms for innovators who want to do more than code — it’s for those who want to code with purpose. Whether you join as a solo participant or a pre-formed startup team, you’ll collaborate through the Imaguru hybrid platform, receive hands-on mentorship, and work toward tangible prototypes that could have global impact. Expert mentors include:

  • Anouk Muis, Solutions Engineer at OpenAI

  • Tak Lo, Founder of Zeroth.ai, the first accelerator focused solely on AI

  • Peter Vesterbacka, co-founder of Slush and former Mighty Eagle at Angry Birds

The format is designed for impact:

  • Day 1: Kickoff and idea pitching

  • Day 2: Intense building, mentoring, and collaboration

  • Day 3: Final prototype demos before a jury of global leaders, followed by networking and celebration

Imaguru has a proven track record of turning prototypes into startups. Past hackathons gave birth to MSQRD, the viral face-filter app acquired by Meta (Facebook) within six months, and TrackDuck, a feedback tool for designers later acquired by InVision.

“Entrepreneurship is a pillar of freedom — but not everyone has the right to be free. Through this hackathon, we fight to make innovation a human right and use AI as a force for justice.”

Participants will also gain access to follow-up acceleration programs, creating a rare opportunity not just to pitch, but to scale. And since it’s hybrid, borders are no limitation.
