A strategic move into scalable enterprise software and intelligent automation

Kulczyk Investments has announced the acquisition of a 65% majority stake in DomData, a Poznań-based technology company specializing in low-code platforms, business process automation, analytics, and AI-enabled enterprise systems. The transaction, which is still subject to approval from Poland’s Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK), marks another significant step in Kulczyk Investments’ long-term strategy to build a strong, internationally scalable technology portfolio. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Founded in 1994, DomData is one of Poland’s most established enterprise software providers. Over more than two decades, the company has delivered over 300 large-scale IT projects, primarily for the banking sector, but increasingly also for mid-sized enterprises. Its client base includes some of Poland’s leading financial institutions, and its solutions are deeply embedded in mission-critical operational workflows.a

From banking roots to cross-sector expansion

DomData employs more than 500 specialists, combining software engineering, data analytics, and process automation expertise. In 2024, the company reported PLN 74.4 million in revenues, up from PLN 54.6 million in 2023, demonstrating strong year-on-year growth. Net profit reached PLN 6.7 million, reflecting both operational maturity and sustained demand for its products.

DomData’s core offering includes a low-code development platform enhanced with AI capabilities, enabling organizations to rapidly design, deploy, and adapt applications without lengthy development cycles. The company also provides advanced analytics tools that help enterprises monitor performance, optimize processes, and respond more effectively to regulatory and market changes.

Kulczyk Investments sees particular potential in international expansion and sector diversification. While DomData’s historical strength lies in banking, the investor plans to actively support the company’s growth into energy, telecommunications, and real estate, sectors undergoing rapid digital transformation and facing increasing pressure to automate and modernize operations.

Why low-code and AI matter now

Commenting on the acquisition, representatives of Kulczyk Investments highlighted that low-code and AI technologies are becoming foundational tools for modern enterprises. These solutions allow organizations to operate faster, reduce dependency on scarce software engineering talent, and remain resilient in the face of regulatory and technological change.

As emphasized by Krzysztof Andrzejewski, CDO and Management Board Member at Kulczyk Investments, DomData brings together proven enterprise-grade solutions with deep implementation know-how, creating a platform that can be scaled beyond Poland. The combination of AI-assisted development and low-code architecture positions DomData well to serve both large corporations and fast-growing mid-market players seeking agility without sacrificing security or compliance.

Kulczyk Investments’ broader technology strategy

Kulczyk Investments is a private investment house with offices in Luxembourg, London, and Warsaw, managing its own capital across multiple sectors. For over 30 years, the group has focused on long-term value creation, backing companies with strong fundamentals and global growth potential.

The DomData acquisition aligns with Kulczyk Investments’ broader push into digitalization, automation, and artificial intelligence, complementing its existing technology assets. By supporting DomData’s internationalization and sectoral expansion, the group aims to turn a well-established Polish software provider into a pan-European technology player.

Looking ahead

Once regulatory approval is secured, the partnership is expected to accelerate DomData’s product development, go-to-market capabilities, and international reach. With rising demand for low-code platforms and AI-driven process automation across Europe, the transaction underscores a growing trend: private capital is increasingly betting on enterprise software as a cornerstone of digital transformation.

For DomData, the deal represents both validation of its long-term strategy and a gateway to new markets. For Kulczyk Investments, it reinforces a clear message — AI and low-code are not niche tools, but core infrastructure for the next generation of global enterprises.
