Reclimb Launches Equity Crowdfunding Campaign After Securing PLN 13.7M Grant for SportTech Innovation

Polish startup invites the public to invest in the future of interactive climbing as crowdfunding gains traction as an alternative capital model.

Polish sporttech startup Reclimb has officially launched a share issue campaign, inviting retail investors to co-own the company and help scale the deployment of its SkyWall interactive climbing system. The campaign blends equity crowdfunding with grassroots sports enthusiasm and features world-renowned speed climber Aleksandra Mirosław, one of the company’s shareholders and brand ambassadors.

Reclimb is one of a growing number of Polish startups turning to crowdfunding as an alternative form of early-stage investment, complementing traditional VC and grant funding. By offering shares directly to individual investors, the company aims to build a community of backers who believe in the future of connected, gamified sport, starting with climbing, and potentially expanding to other verticals in fitness tech.

The startup gained significant validation earlier this year when its flagship project HighWall was awarded a PLN 13.7 million grant through the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development’s (#PARP) SMART program—a highly competitive funding track for deep tech and R&D initiatives. The grant, which nearly reached the program’s maximum threshold, signals strong institutional belief in the startup’s technology and commercial viability.

Scaling Production, Climbing Markets

Reclimb’s public share issue is expected to raise the additional capital needed to operationalize a scalable manufacturing process. The company plans to produce up to 10 SkyWall units per month, targeting gyms, training centers, and entertainment venues worldwide.

According to Reclimb, funds raised will be allocated across three core investment areas:

  • Production hall adaptation (PLN 370,000) – includes modernization of electrical and safety systems, heating installations, and workspace restructuring to support large-format production.

  • Equipment acquisition (PLN 630,000) – investment in high-precision CNC plotters and high-storage racking systems to streamline structural element fabrication and internal logistics.

  • Injection moulds (PLN 500,000) – development of custom tooling to support in-house production of plastic components, reducing reliance on external suppliers and improving cost and quality control.

This investment structure reflects a hybrid funding model increasingly visible in Poland’s startup ecosystem, where state grants, crowdfunding, and private equity intersect to support capital-intensive innovations that are not easily VC-backed in their early stages.

Crowdfunding: Not Just Cash—But Community

Reclimb’s campaign follows the success of other Polish startups, including Inuru, Tylko, and InventionBio, which previously turned to crowdfunding not only for capital but to build brand loyalty and community buy-in. With the share issue structured as an equity-based offering, investors become part-owners—sharing in both risk and potential returns.

The campaign also leverages the visibility and credibility of Aleksandra Mirosław, a four-time world record holder and Olympic athlete, who has helped turn the niche world of competitive climbing into a mainstream sport in Poland and beyond. Her involvement helps position Reclimb as not just a hardware startup, but a movement to modernize climbing globally.

If successful, Reclimb plans to scale beyond Central Europe and enter key Western markets where demand for interactive fitness installations is growing. The SkyWall system blends climbing with smart sensors, real-time feedback, and gamification—catering to both professionals and fitness enthusiasts.

As interest in sporttech accelerates, Reclimb’s campaign could serve as a case study in Poland’s evolving innovation finance ecosystem, proving that a well-structured crowdfunding model can complement public grants and lead to commercial scalability.
