SATIM Partners with Ursa Space to Power Global SAR Intelligence

SATIM Inc. and Ursa Space Systems launch global collaboration to enhance SAR-based object detection and geospatial analysis

Kraków-based SATIM Inc., a leader in AI-driven object detection on Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery, has announced a strategic collaboration with Ursa Space Systems, the U.S.-based operator of the world’s largest virtual SAR satellite constellation.

This partnership will integrate SATIM’s high-accuracy detection and classification software into Ursa’s satellite intelligence platform, unlocking real-time, global-scale insights for defense, intelligence, and commercial clients.

“Ursa’s virtual SAR constellation provides unprecedented access to geospatial data. Combined with our AI-powered classification capabilities, this partnership brings scalable, automated intelligence to users around the world,” said Jacek Strzelczyk, CEO of SATIM Inc. The integration will allow analysts to automatically identify vessels, aircraft, and land vehicles from SAR data, improving mission planning, threat detection, and operational efficiency in complex environments.

Ursa Space CEO Adam Maher emphasized the significance of the collaboration: “SATIM’s powerful object detection technology is a perfect complement to our infrastructure. This is a meaningful step toward building a more transparent and secure global monitoring environment.”

The alliance underscores the growing importance of synthetic aperture radar for near real-time global surveillance, particularly in areas with persistent cloud cover or at night—where optical imagery fails. SATIM’s proprietary AI models have proven accuracy across diverse datasets and deployment conditions, making them particularly attractive for national security agencies and critical infrastructure monitoring.

As AI continues to redefine geospatial intelligence, the SATIM–Ursa Space partnership reflects the broader trend of fusing hardware-agnostic data access with software-native intelligence. The resulting capabilities—automated, scalable, and multi-domain—are poised to redefine global situational awareness and crisis response readiness for both public and private sectors.

A cultural icon beyond acting:

The satellite becomes today’s sentinel—echoing the Cold War’s surveillance arms race but now governed by data, transparency, and civilian accessibility.
