The powerhouse of Europe - Poland as the undisputed leader in business services on the Continent

Tony Blair, one of the most influential world leaders and Prime Minister of Great Britain in 1997-2007, will soon come to Poland. The British politician will be a guest at the 6th ABSL Conference, which will be held on June 16-17 in Krakow. It will be one of the largest business events in this part of Europe. The leader will discuss how Poland can continue to strengthen its political and economic position in the international arena.

In 1997-2007, Tony Blair served as the Prime Minister of Great Britain, and in 2004-2007 he headed the British Labor Party. Blair supported the enlargement of the European Union in 2004 and Poland's accession to NATO in 1999.

The ABSL conference is being organized for the sixth time. The event is an important platform for discussion on the development strategy of the Polish economy, bringing together business and political leaders. Last year, the event's special guest was Madeleine Albright, the 64th US Secretary of State. Moreover, previous editions of the Conference were attended by, among others, Lech Wałęsa, Jerzy Buzek, Marek Belka, and Jan Krzysztof Bielecki.

- The dynamic development of the sector is associated with growing professionalization and conducting increasingly advanced business processes. The ABSL conference is an important platform for discussing how to drive the industry's growth further. We are glad that for another year, one of the most important sector events in this region of Europe attracts inspiring and experienced leaders - commented Piotr Dziwok, president of the management board of Shell Polska, general director of Shell Business Operations Kraków and vice-president of ABSL.

The driving force of the Polish economy

The business services sector, to which 11 is devoted, is currently one of the main driving forces of the Polish economy. Service centers with foreign capital located in our country already employ over 130,000. People, and by the end of the year, this number will increase by another 30 thousand. Currently, the sector in Poland is represented by 325 entities from 28 countries, providing over 470 service centers. Our country is one of the most attractive global locations for investors in the industry.

Kraków holds the leading position in Poland.

Kraków is a leader in Poland's service sector. According to data from 2014, over 33,000 people worked in service centers with foreign capital. People - explains Marek Grodziński, director of the European Network of BPO Centers Capgemini, vice-president of ABSL.
