As the year draws to a close, the Microsoft Azure User Group Poland invites the cloud community to its 79th meetup, a special December edition marking a major milestone: 10 years of building one of the most active and technically engaged Azure communities in Poland. True to tradition, the anniversary meetup blends deep technical knowledge with networking, storytelling, and a celebratory atmosphere, complete with birthday treats courtesy of PwC, the event sponsor.
This year’s program offers a rich combination of real-world cloud architecture insights, live analysis of Microsoft Ignite announcements, and a forward-looking session exploring the evolving relationship between AI and cloud technologies. Across two hours of content, participants will get a mix of hands-on learning, strategic perspectives, and practical use cases that reflect how Azure is shaping engineering practice in 2025.
What to Expect
The meetup opens with a community-led discussion on Microsoft Ignite 2025, highlighting the most impactful announcements affecting cloud architecture, DevOps workflows, AI integration, and enterprise-scale deployments. This interactive segment keeps to the spirit of the group: knowledge-sharing driven not just by speakers, but by practitioners across the ecosystem.
The second technical block dives into one of the most anticipated developments in Azure this year, Managed Instance for Azure App Service (Public Preview). This session, led by Adam Obrębski, demonstrates how organizations can migrate legacy or system-dependent .NET applications into Azure without extensive refactoring. For teams facing modernization bottlenecks, this capability represents a significant shift: the ability to maintain critical dependencies while still gaining the operational benefits of a managed cloud environment.
After a celebratory break with birthday cake, the final talk, delivered by Dr. inż. Paweł Fiderek, explores the long-standing “romance” between AI and Cloud. From early theoretical foundations like Turing’s work to the pivotal “Attention is All You Need” paper, the talk traces how AI’s rapid evolution has been inseparable from advances in cloud infrastructure. Participants will walk through modern deployments of cloud-powered AI, practical examples from industry, and speculative future scenarios that show how these two fields continue to accelerate one another.
Throughout the evening, attendees will have opportunities to connect with peers, exchange knowledge, and meet technology leaders shaping Azure’s future in Poland. PwC, employing nearly 7000 people in Poland, including over 2000 technologists, supports this gathering as part of its mission to foster trust and respond to the technological challenges facing modern organizations.
