Enterprise Hungary is organizing the Get in the Ring international competition in the Regional Startup and Innovation Day framework.

Get in the Ring's Global Pitch Competition invites founders from over 100 countries to pitch their solutions against their opponents in the ring. Get in the Ring! is different from any other startup pitching competition. Pitching in the ring creates undeniable competitive electricity, which means founders are forced to up their game and give a pitch they are proud of.

In 2018, the focus was on a Hungarian lighting company named Tungsram, which rose from the dead and shone brighter than ever. Tungsram will reverse pitch its Smart City and Agritech needs to which startup finalists will pitch back their solutions to those needs in 2 boxing ring battles in which they highlight their Product, Team, Business Model, Traction, Opportunity, and Why they are better than their opponents.

The governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia co-financed the project through Visegrad Grants from the International Visegrad Fund. The fund aims to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
