Otwarte Gardło – Artistic and Research Project on Human Voice Stereotypes [Best for Artists, Researchers, and Voice Enthusiasts] [FREE] [PL, EN]

Description:

Join the Otwarte Gardło project at Nowy Teatr on May 01, 2025 — an artistic and research initiative challenging stereotypes around the human voice.

Created by Barbara Kinga Majewska, the project invites participants to reflect on how gender, age, race, and physical differences in vocal traits contribute to discrimination and exclusion. Through individual recording sessions, participants will engage with questions and exercises designed to explore their personal relationships with voice.

Participation Includes:

  • Simple vocal exercises and reactions to recorded voices

  • Completing a questionnaire

  • Sharing feelings and thoughts about voice in daily and professional life

Details:

  • Session duration: ~25 minutes

  • Languages: Polish or English

  • Open to anyone interested (registration required)

  • Conducted as part of a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage
