Urodziny Starówki: A Celebration of Warsaw’s Old Town [Best for Families & Culture Lovers] [FREE]
This July, the heart of Warsaw beats louder than ever as “Grupa Starówka”—a coalition of 33 cultural and historical institutions—invites locals and visitors to celebrate the vibrant legacy of the Old Town. Over the weekend of Aug 1–3, more than 100 free events will unfold across the Old Town Square and surrounding streets, commemorating the 80th anniversary of Warsaw’s post-war reconstruction.

🎶 Inaugural Concert | Aug 1–3 | Rynek Nowego Miasta
World-renowned countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński and pianist Michał Biel set the stage, followed by a dynamic rap set by V Filar—fusing classical music and hip-hop in a single performance.
🎧 Silent Disco | Rynek Starego Miasta
DJs Krims, Sosia, and Hate Bush spin beats from the windows of Muzeum Warszawy. Pick your channel, wear your headphones, and dance under the stars.
🦎 Puppet Show & Workshop | Rynek Nowego Miasta
“Bazyliszek” comes to life in a charming Teatr Lalek performance, followed by hands-on puppet-making for kids.
🎷 Jazz Dance Party | Rynek Nowego Miasta
Swing into the sounds of Młynarski, Namysłowski, and more, in a festive open-air ballroom tribute to 1940s Warsaw.
🎼 Balcony Concert | ul. Freta 16
French melodies inspired by Irena Curie performed by Mariza Nawrocka from the Muzeum Marii Skłodowskiej-Curie balcony.
