Digitization streamlines processes and makes life easier. But it also has significant limitations and weaknesses. For technology to be useful, it must be implemented with a balance between digital process and human experience. And companies that want to build their competitive advantage and benefit from investing in new technologies must focus primarily on people and their needs.
PWC's Tom Puthiyamadam notes that "companies must critically evaluate how their digital initiatives impact customers and employees, because even the best changes can have unexpected impacts on people." Creators of innovative solutions operating in the IT industry are becoming real competition for banks and related market segments, but only those companies whose employees will apply the best practices of the digital era will be successful. It is worth remembering that people – both customers and employees – are the bridge between the organization and new technologies.
Rapid technological development and constant changes in the digital environment do not give much time to implement new products - companies must be ready for almost immediate adaptations and innovations. New competitors, new tools and new trends will constantly appear on the market. And the customer is demanding more and more, wanting to receive a better product or a better service faster than before. Only companies that fully understand the human factor in the digital transformation process and invest in the appropriate technology will be able to develop, gain and strengthen their market advantage.
During the 7th DIGITAL BANKING & PAYMENTS SUMMIT, we will focus on people, who must be at the center of the transformation process. Together with practitioners, enthusiasts and visionaries from Poland and abroad, we will learn about inspirations from market leaders who set the goal of digital transformation using the latest technologies to improve the quality of customer service. We will face challenges by learning practical tools and strategies. We will also share our experiences and inspire each other.
