WRLD HACK: Motoko – Intro to Web3 Programming

📅 Jun 16 – WRLD HACK: Motoko – Intro to Web3 Programming

📍 Online | 🗓 June 16 | 🕔 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM CET | 💸 Free

Online workshop for students and developers curious about the Internet Computer and decentralized applications

If you’ve ever been curious about how to program for the decentralized web or want to explore blockchain beyond buzzwords, WRLD HACK: Motoko is your gateway.

On Monday, June 16, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM CET, this free online workshop will guide you step-by-step into the world of Motoko—a language designed by the DFINITY Foundation for building applications directly on the Internet Computer, a radically different blockchain architecture that treats the internet itself as its native environment.

This hands-on session is ideal for high school and university students, early-stage developers, and anyone eager to explore Web3. No prior experience in blockchain is required—just basic programming knowledge and curiosity.

Participants will:

  • Learn how the Internet Computer and smart contracts (called canisters) work.

  • Get practical experience with Internet Identity, a decentralized authentication system.

  • Use ICP.Ninja, an intuitive in-browser coding tool, to develop their first decentralized application called JupiterBox.

  • Receive a certificate upon uploading their project to GitHub.

  • Unlock future opportunities to join exclusive educational programs and hackathons via ICP Hub Network.

The event will be hosted in Polish, but the technical walkthrough is accessible enough for anyone familiar with coding basics.

No software installations are needed—just a browser and the willingness to learn.
