AI-Powered Mental Health Platform Raised $1.2M
Polish-based startup Pleso Therapy secures $1.2M to grow its AI mental health support platform, with Poland as its European launchpad
Pleso Therapy, a mental health startup founded by Ukrainian entrepreneurs and based in Poland, has raised $1.2 million to scale its AI-driven platform across Europe. With a strong focus on the Polish market, the company plans to expand its local team, refine its technology, and grow brand awareness.
Pleso Therapy offers a hybrid mental health service that connects users with certified therapists through an AI-powered matching engine. A standout feature is the use of trained Therapy Guides who help users select the right specialist—removing the stress and guesswork that often deters people from starting therapy. The platform’s proprietary algorithm ensures better alignment between patient needs and therapeutic expertise, streamlining access to psychological support.

The pre-seed round attracted notable investors from Central and Eastern Europe, including Vchasno.Group, TA Ventures, BADIdeas Fund, and world-renowned boxer Oleksandr Usyk. Much of the funding will be directed toward expanding Pleso’s operations in Poland—currently its largest market, accounting for more than 50% of sales.
Poland as the foundation for European expansion
Pleso operates in Poland, Ukraine, and Romania, with over 150,000 therapy sessions delivered to date. Its Warsaw-based operations hub manages a network of around 150 Polish therapists and supports a fast-growing user base. Future expansion targets include Western Europe, with Poland serving as the central base.
“Pleso has created not just a platform but an entire psychological care ecosystem,” said Viktoriya Tihipko of TA Ventures. “They’ve proven they can succeed in a highly competitive market like Poland, and we’re excited to support their mission across Europe.”
Strategic support and acceleration programs
The company has received strategic mentoring through programs like StartSmart CEE (formerly MIT EF CEE) in partnership with Adamed, and has been recognized by Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund, Polish-Ukrainian Startup Bridge, and WarsawBooster23.
“Our goal is to become a market leader in Poland—both in B2C and B2B therapy services,” said Liliana Matsarina, Head of Region Poland. “We’re building a platform that prioritizes empathy, technological excellence, and accessibility.”
With the new funding secured, Pleso Therapy is doubling down on platform development, European market entry, and its mission to reshape how mental healthcare is accessed and delivered across the continent.
