Doctor.One, a Warsaw-based digital healthcare platform, has recently acquired Doctor Dok, a Polish startup specializing in AI-powered healthcare solutions. This strategic move aims to enhance Doctor.One’s capabilities in managing care pathways and supporting patients beyond traditional clinical settings through advanced AI-driven tools.

About Doctor.One

Founded in 2021 by Tomasz Rudolf and Maciej Malenda, Doctor.One offers a mobile-first platform designed to streamline workflows for healthcare professionals, reduce administrative burdens, and integrate AI-powered tools to improve chronic disease management. The platform enables doctors to establish digital practices, allowing patients to subscribe for ongoing care with AI-driven insights supporting treatment optimization. Since its inception, Doctor.One has facilitated over 320,000 micro-interactions between doctors and patients. Notably, in a recent multiple sclerosis care program, 81% of participating doctors reported enhanced care quality and improved disease management, reflected in a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 93.

By integrating Doctor Dok’s AI-powered tools, Doctor.One aims to enhance its platform’s capabilities in managing care pathways and providing continuous patient support. This integration is expected to enable more innovative healthcare solutions and promote proactive care. Maciej Malenda, CEO of Doctor.One, emphasized the significance of this acquisition:

This strategic move aligns with Doctor.One’s mission to provide continuous, personalized care through asynchronous communication. The company plans to leverage this acquisition to expand its services across Spain, the UK, and Germany, aiming to set a new standard for patient-centric healthcare in Europe. Piotr Karwatka, founder of Doctor Dok, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: “Our collaboration with Doctor.One is an exciting step forward. Funding and Growth

Doctor.One has demonstrated significant growth since its establishment. In December 2021, the company raised €440,000 in a pre-seed round from Movens VC, aiming to build a European healthcare network.  By April 2022, Doctor.One secured an additional €2.1 million in funding led by Atlantic Labs, further supporting its mission to transform European healthcare through its virtual clinic model.  As of June 2024, the company raised $1.19 million in an early-stage venture capital round, bringing its total funding to approximately $3.96 million.
