Vercom Plans €235M for Polish Startups

Vercom Aims for €235M Investment in Polish Startups as Part of Ambitious Growth Plan

Vercom, a Polish cloud communications platform, has unveiled bold expansion plans as part of its 2025–2028 strategy, setting a target of at least PLN 300 million (€70 million) in EBITDA by 2028. The company plans to fuel this growth through organic expansion and selective acquisitions, emphasizing its readiness to invest heavily in the Polish technology ecosystem.

In its latest report, Vercom announced a dedicated M&A budget of PLN 1 billion (€235 million) over the next four years, with a clear commitment to backing Polish startups in the process. “We’ve proven we can combine organic growth with strategic acquisitions effectively. Our ambition is to invest up to PLN 1 billion, supported by our own capital and debt financing. This will enable us to add at least PLN 70 million (€16.4 million) in EBITDA by 2028,” said CFO Lukasz Szalasnik. The company is already planning its first acquisition under this program later this year.

In Q4 2024, Vercom posted solid financial results with revenue up 35% year-on-year to PLN 130.6 million (€30.5 million) and EBITDA rising 29% to PLN 30.8 million (€7.2 million), in line with analyst expectations. The company ended the year with PLN 110 million (€25.7 million) in adjusted EBITDA, outperforming the targets set in its ESOP program.

Vercom’s customer base also expanded significantly, growing by 15,300 clients to a total of 94,700. The company’s flagship platform, MessageFlow, secured major new clients including LPP, Biedronka, Media Expert, and BLIK. Vercom is also strengthening its position in emerging communication technologies like RCS and OTT messaging. In Q4 alone, RCS and OTT message volume on the platform grew nearly eightfold to 7.6 million messages.

With the global RCS market expected to reach $2.8 billion by 2028, Vercom is well-positioned to capture this growth. A key milestone is MessageFlow’s strategic partnership with Microsoft Azure Marketplace, offering access to over 350,000 potential clients worldwide, including 130,000 in EMEA. “This collaboration will accelerate our international expansion and boost our AI-driven capabilities,” said Tomasz Pakulski, Board Member responsible for MessageFlow’s growth.

Vercom also signaled strong financial health, hinting at a record dividend payout from its 2024 profits. The company estimates that at least PLN 38.5 million (€9 million) will be allocated to shareholders, representing 50% of consolidated net profit.

By combining aggressive investment plans, strong financial results, and growing international ambitions, Vercom is positioning itself as a major technology player ready to fuel the next wave of Polish startup growth.
