Innova Capital Launches Tech Advisory Board
Innova Capital Aims to Become Leading Tech Investor in CEE, Launches Expert Advisory Board to Drive Global Growth
Innova Capital, one of Central and Eastern Europe’s most established private equity firms, has launched a dedicated Technology Advisory Board (TAB) as part of a strategic pivot to become the top regional investor in technology-focused businesses. The move follows the successful closing of its seventh fund at €407 million and reflects Innova’s increasing emphasis on digitalization, AI, and international expansion—especially into the US market.

The newly formed TAB comprises nine high-profile experts from Poland, Western Europe, and the US. Their mandate is to support Innova’s portfolio companies with sector-specific knowledge, M&A strategies, and global market entry. Among the members are senior figures from SingleStore, SoSafe, AutoPay, Allegro, Comarch, and other firms, collectively bringing decades of operational and strategic experience. Each technology portfolio company will receive support from 3–4 tailored board members based on its unique challenges.
Innova Capital has invested over €1.5 billion across nearly 80 companies since 1994, with its current fund already backing eight firms such as CloudFerro, Netopia, and R-Gol. While traditionally sector-agnostic, Innova now aims to solidify its position in the technology space, emphasizing companies with proven models, international ambitions, and scalable digital offerings.
The firm intends to complete two to three more investments by the end of 2025, including at least one more tech company. In parallel, it is working on exits from its sixth fund and remains open to IPOs, particularly on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, which has shown renewed strength and investor interest in recent months.
By formalizing the TAB initiative—initially tested through its collaboration with e-commerce leader R-Gol—Innova is following in the footsteps of major global technology funds. This hybrid model of capital and operational guidance is expected to differentiate the firm in an increasingly competitive PE landscape.
