Avallon MBO Launches €260M Fund to Accelerate Management Buyouts Across Central Europe

Polish private equity firm Avallon MBO has announced the launch of its fourth fund—Avallon MBO Fund IV—aiming to raise between €220 million and €260 million to support management buyouts across Poland and Central Europe. The new fund continues Avallon’s longstanding strategy of partnering with ambitious management teams to acquire and grow companies in high-potential sectors such as technology, FMCG, and manufacturing.

With a history spanning 25 years and over 100 completed transactions, Avallon has become one of Poland’s most experienced private equity firms focused exclusively on MBOs. The fund intends to make investments averaging €20 million per deal, supported by co-investments and structured debt, enabling it to capture both mid-market and larger opportunities.

“In a world shifting away from globalization, there’s growing value in regional partnerships,” said Tomasz Stamirowski, Managing Partner at Avallon. “We offer operational flexibility and close cooperation with management—critical assets in volatile times.”

Avallon’s second fund achieved an impressive 17% net IRR, signaling consistent outperformance and investor confidence. For Fund IV, Avallon will continue working with existing limited partners while opening up to family offices and foundations, with a €5 million minimum investment.

As private business owners seek not just capital but committed partners for long-term value creation, regional firms like Avallon are stepping up. “We’re seeing more founders ready for strategic partnerships, and Fund IV is our response to that market need,” said Agnieszka Pakulska, Partner at Avallon.

The firm’s latest initiative underscores the rising importance of regional private equity in consolidating the mid-market and empowering the next wave of company growth in the CEE region.
